Davido Launches Social Token, Echock

 

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido has ventured into the world of digital economy with the launch of his personalised token, Echoke. In a Twitter post, Davido announced that the project has been in the works for a while now.

"Happy to finally announce this thing we've been working on for a while. It's the Echoke Social Token. Use the hashtag #EchokeForHere. Every day, millions of fans create value that is captured by a few execs in a boardroom. Not anymore. We're giving the power back to the fans," he wrote.

According to information, the Echoke crypto token is developed in partnership with Bitsika. The Bitsika team established a new outfit called Omegoat under which it will build all our crypto-native products and its first project is the Echoke cryptocurrency.

"Holders of the Echoke Social Token will have access to giveaways, concert passes, hotel discounts, NFTs, etc. Twice a month, these holders of the token will be given rewards that can only be accessed by paying with the token. Davido and Bitsika have already created a spirit and brand of generosity online. This token will ensure that actual supporters get the rewards from now onwards.

The general public will not need to buy the tokens to start using it. Omegoat has no im mediate plans of listing the Echoke Social Token on any exchanges or DEXS in the next 12 months. The tokens will be freely distributed in a series of monthly giveaways to the public. This will ensure that most people who get the token are everyday people with a passion for what we're building. We want to prevent scenarios where a few rich people buy up all the tokens," a statement from Bitsika reads.

It further revealed that it will be going deep into NFTs too.
